Rectum
Also see: intestinal smooth muscles, colon, small intestines, rectum surface mucosa, muscle innervation.
Theme
Ugly, backstabbing, vile, nasty, mean-spirited "shit conflict."
CA phase
Functional increase. Cell growth of the mucosa.
Biological utility
Better digest and/or absorb a morsel, real or metaphorically:
- Secretory quality cells: to better digest the morsel. Cauliflower-like cell growth, which on examination may lead to a diagnosis colon cancer (also see endoderm).
- Resorptive quality cells: to better absorb the morsel. Flat growing tissue, mostly undetected.
Symptoms
None.
PCL phase
Normalization of function. Degradation of extra cells by fungi or TB bacteria, if present.
Symptoms
Extreme fatigue, smelly night sweats, fever, bright red blood and mucus in stool, diarrhea. This may result in the diagnosis rectal cancer.
In case of the lower part of the rectum: hemorrhoids of the submucosa, also see rectal surface mucosa.
EC
Chills and cold sweats, (severe) colic pains, (heavy) bleeding, diarrhea.
In mild programs, the sudden excretion of blood is sometimes the only thing that is consciously observed from this program; the active phase and the healing phase are more or less unnoticed. Blood may also now be found in the stool during a population screening, for example.
Hanging healing: thinner rectum submucosa (see also endoderm), diverticulitis.
After healing: diverticulum. The reduced wall of the rectum bulges outward.
